Defiant Scribe is an online lit mag created for the 21st century. We offer an updated take on the literary magazine with contemporary content: risk-taking writing that is unafraid to explore heavy or taboo topics, and which features diverse characters as written by diverse writers. We strive to be always defiant, always unique.

Defiant Scribe returned from hiatus on April 14, 2023. We’ll now be releasing issues on a seasonal basis, four times each year. Visit our Submissions page if you’re interested in writing for us, and join our mailing list to be notified when we release our next edition.
